Like no other Ismi Salma
A rough feminine voice rises from below and breaks the darkness of Ismi Salma, two silhouettes in space of this circular sound, dancing, playing, images and sounds accompany the rocking vibes. It is 2 am and here the space is open for a choreography in progress.
On the second floor of an anonymous building located in the Bauhaus core of Tel Aviv Ismi Salma, my name is Salma in english, is the place dedicated to the grand utopia of the arts: the intent to make different languages and expressive forms converge and clash, music, poetry and dance; the creation of different cultural belongings in the most unexpected and improbable ways.
In order to give the place new life, we were inspired by the city, posing a metal Mashrabiya made of Tel Aviv’s urban grid on the vast glass facade watching over Dizengoff street.
